With the holidays coming, that means plenty of family and holiday gatherings. And that means the need for dips, spreads, and appetizers in general. Â You'll want to include Amish "Bacon Cheese Dip" on your menu. Â Yum. Â Spread it on some crackers and you're good to go.
The only caveat I'll add to this recipe: Â it'll taste fine with whatever bacon you use, but the average Amish homemaker will be using thick cut fresh bacon from their own farm-raised hogs. Â You can't emphasize enough how much ingredient freshness adds to flavor. So when choosing your bacon, try to get the locally-raised kind as opposed to just a mass-produced supermarket kind. Â Enjoy!
