Hi, my name is Kevin Williams and I am owner of Oasis Newsfeatures and editor of The Amish Cook newspaper column.
We got snowed in at my mother’s house one memorable Christmas – with no electricity. It was great! We had to pay attention to one another: no computers, no TV. (Mom has a gas fireplace which kept us warm.) One of the accomplishments was a big snow cave, complete with a shelf for a candle.
