Brrrrr…this is a cold, but fun, scene outside The Amish Cook’s house in Michigan. The heavy, wet snow that blanketed the midwest was perfect for packing and shaping into snowmen, snow angels, and igloos!
Hi, my name is Kevin Williams and I am owner of Oasis Newsfeatures and editor of The Amish Cook newspaper column.
We got snowed in at my mother’s house one memorable Christmas – with no electricity. It was great! We had to pay attention to one another: no computers, no TV. (Mom has a gas fireplace which kept us warm.) One of the accomplishments was a big snow cave, complete with a shelf for a candle.
