    Published: Oct 5, 2017 · Updated: Oct 5, 2017 by Kevin Williams | Leave a Comment

    apples, apples, everywhere!

    By Kevin Williams

Sort of a last hurrah for apple season as it winds down soon.  Apple bars are delicious this time of year and they make an awesome after-school snack for kids or a delicious breakfast bar to start the day.

Amish cooks are still using up apples in pies, bars, crumbles, and into butters and jams.  Honeycrisp seems to be a favorite this time of year.

Check out this amazing selection of easy Amish apple bar recipes.  The only tough part you'll have deciding which one to try. Oh what the heck, try them all!  (And then invite me over).

The first recipe comes from Patricia's Patchwork quilt blog and she adapted the recipe from I  The Farmhouse Kitchen  which features Amish community cooking from Greenville, PA.

These wonderful bars are classic ones featured on Patricia's Patchwork blog, the recipe comes from the Amish community of Greenville, PA
