Sort of a last hurrah for apple season as it winds down soon. Â Apple bars are delicious this time of year and they make an awesome after-school snack for kids or a delicious breakfast bar to start the day.
Amish cooks are still using up apples in pies, bars, crumbles, and into butters and jams. Â Honeycrisp seems to be a favorite this time of year.
Check out this amazing selection of easy Amish apple bar recipes. Â The only tough part you'll have deciding which one to try. Oh what the heck, try them all! Â (And then invite me over).
The first recipe comes from Patricia's Patchwork quilt blog and she adapted the recipe from I  The Farmhouse Kitchen  which features Amish community cooking from Greenville, PA.
