I have don’t a post like this before because I don’t really like raisins. Well,it’s more of a love-hate relationship. I am not just going to sit and snack on a box of raisins. Just not very appealing to me. And I hate it when someone ruins a perfectly good oatmeal cookie by sticking raisins in them. Ditto for cinnamon bread, please leave raisins out of it. Still, there are some raisin recipes that I like and because of my general disdain for raisins I find myself pleasantly surprised. Case in point would be Amish recipes for raisin pie, that’s a really good pie. I think it’s because the raisins are sort of encased in a custard and you can’t really taste them.
So, here are 5 amazing Amish recipes where raisins play a starring role!
