We've featured so many Amish-themed photos over the years, from beautiful scenery shots, to food shots, to cultural pictures.  Trying to choose just one...or even just 5...wow, that's tough...but I thought I'd take a crack at it.  These first two are sort of lumped together.  We've seen so many buggies over the years. Of course the standard ol' buggies, but we've seen brown, white, and even yellow buggies and then there are the buggies that really are genius or creative.  The Old Order German Baptist Brethren travel by tractor and by buggy and in some cases, as I spotted at one home, they'll make a hybrid:

Mutant Tractor Buggy near Covington, Ohio
Golf cart buggy in Flat Rock, Illinois, the low step-up is a perfect option for senior citizens who are less mobile.  Related Recipe: Flat Rock Pudding.

All of these photos were taken either by my me or my wife, but one photo would have to crack my top 10 that was submitted by a reader.  The Amish taking advantage of non-ATM walk-up banking in Berne, Indiana:

No buggies in this drive-thru lane!

I've run this photo plenty of times here, but I think it illustrates so well the cultural clash between old and new among the Amish.  Will that be thick or thin crust?  Next page:  Pizza Hut Amish, Cattle Drive Amish, solemn Petitioners and more! (divided this post into two pages to help with loading speed from all these photos)

The Amish getting their deep dish fix! Related Recipe: Pizza Hut Sauce and Breadsticks
This was an "Amish cattle drive", a local non-Amish rancher hires young men from the Amish to held drive the herd home. Related Recipe:  Montana Amish Mountain Pie
This is a photo of a meeting of Old German Baptist Brethren, it just looks so solemn, I like the photo...Related Recipe:  Homemade tortillas
