An essay in this week's Mennonite Weekly Review caught my eye today (Yes, I do read Mennonite Weekly Review). The publication offers a potpourri of Plain, whether they be articles about the Amish, Mennonites or other Anabaptists. Writer Jill Clingan describes how her young daughter brought her whole family down the path of Plainness. I think many of us would love to have the experience that Jill describes, I wish the article would have given a bit more info about the German Baptist settlement which I am guessing is a horse and buggy Old Order German Baptist Brethren community. Anyway, no matter, this is a great essay about living Plainly and describes the appeal that Amish life has on many.
