We have some interesting items in this week’s Amish amazon.
BLACKBERRY BUTTER: I am so intrigued by this, I’m tempted to order some: homemade blackberry butter. Wow. This is Amish-made from Arthur, Illinois. I’ve not seen it sold before, but it advertises that it is: Fantastic on Biscuits, Toast, Bagels or Ice Cream! Also says it has a very rich blackberry flavor. Sounds amazing, click here.
GRANDMA SMUCKER’S SHOOFLY PIE: These pies come from Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania and they come as a two-pack, so there are economies of scale involved. Good stuff, if you have never tried an authentic shoofly pie, this is a great option.
FOUR-BERRY JAM: Man, this sounds good….It doesn’t say what berries this is a blend of, well, yeah, if you zoom in on the label, it looks like strawberries, cherries, blackberries, and raspberries. Wow, that sounds like an amazing PB&J sandwich! Click here, again, this is Amish-made from Arthur, Illinois.
What could be better than Amish Church Peanut Butter Spread? CHOCOLATE Amish Church Peanut Butter Spread! Wow, Scherger’s Kettle in Shipshewana, Indiana sells some. Good stuff! Click here.
KOUNTRY KOOKIN‘: This is an Amish cookbook written by Sylvia Miller in 1991. I don’t know much about the book, but it appears to have sold well in the early 1990s and it does feature over 200 recipes. And there are copies available for as low as $3, so it probably is a great repository of recipes. Click here.
