As editor of Amish365, I have spent almost three decades exploring Amish communities from coast to coast. I’ve sampled enough cinnamon rolls, fried pies, and donuts to know a good Amish or Mennonite bakery when I see one! Our absolute favorites are the Amish bakeries tucked away in an outbuilding or basement in an actual Amish home. That’s where you’ll find the most cultural authenticity, so we tried to keep this list focused on the less touristy, off-the-beaten path places.
This list is our attempt to pull all the bakeries together into one easy spot.. I always remind people, though, when it comes to Amish bakeries: beware. Many of them open and close without much notice. We tried to vouch for accuracy as much as possible with this list, but this list will evolve and change, and we’re counting on you to help keep it current and add bakeries that we might’ve missed.
This list is in no way meant to be comprehensive and complete, there are many great Amish and Mennonite bakeries out there that I’m sure are not on this list. But if you know of one, please give us the information here email us details at [email protected]
