Okay, this is our weekly whirl through "Amish Etsy" and, wow, did I come up with some gems to share.  Arrrgh, the first one I wanted to snap up myself, but I had to restrain myself.  So check out this collection of items you might want to check out on Etsy.

COLORADO COOKBOOK:  Okay, I would love to snap this book up.  One of you ought to.  The reason this book interests me so much is that I do love these little "local cookbooks" that really give a taste of local culinary culture and I'm sure this one does.  The description reads: It features old-fashioned recipes that remind you of home! You will not find another source for better cookies, cakes and bars! For me, I'd be examining the book for local or regional influences in the cooking. Tex-Mex will is quite popular in this community and I'd expect to find some south-of-the-border favorites in the book. Click here to see more.

Amish country cookie cutters, looks like an amazing keepsake!

AMISH COOKIE CUTTERS: I know these are just cookie cutters but, wow, I'd love to get my hands on these.  Made in Lancaster, the shapes are just the classics that you'd expect to find and I bet the cutters are so well made they'll outlast generations.  What a neat keepsake! Click here to read more.

AMISH BABY HELICOPTER:  Sheesh, Aster might like this. If it really is Amish made, it'll last a long time and be a good, chemical-free, non-electronic toy.  Click here to see it.  I don't have an reason to doubt that it is Amish-made, I'm just more throwing out a general warning to be careful about anything you buy on Etsy to make sure it's authentic.

AMISH CINNAMON BREAD:  If I can ever get up the courage to order food from Etsy, this seems like a great place to begin. Click here to check out how you can order some Amish cinnamon bread. I admit, it does look good!

BLUEBERRY-RHUBARB JAM:  Wow, this sounds amazing!  Blueberry-rhubarb?? Count me in!  It says the jam is made by the Yoder family, although the label says "Fry's", which is not an Amish name.  So...I don't know....I'd love to try this, that is for sure.  Check it out here.

If anyone orders any of these things, let me know!
