These are some paintings on the walls at my mother-in-law's house. They've been on the walls as long as I can remember, presumably they were there long before I entered the family. Are these paintings "Amish" themed or are they simply a throwback to an earlier horse-and-buggy era for all?
What do you think?
The one by the church, I think, is likely not an Amish image because, well, most Amish don't attend church in a building, they worship at home and there's just something non-Amish looking about the occupants of the horse and buggy.
Now the other painting that, to me, can be an Amish image. I can't tell who drew the art and I know I asked my mother-in-law a long time ago about the origins of the paintings, but I don't think she really knew much about where they came from. Forgive me for the photo quality, I was trying to capture a photo without capturing a glare, so I had to do it from an angle. Anyway, perhaps I'll ask my mother-in-law again. What do you tbink?
