Amish Secret Wood Polish, Anyone Try It?

    Published: Apr 12, 2018 · Updated: Apr 12, 2018 by Kevin Williams | 2 Comments

I was in a run-down close-out store near me recently when I saw a container of "Amish Wood Milk" for sale.  I was tempted to buy it, but ultimately passed.

    Amish Secret Wood Polish

I have also seen this stuff at Walgreens lately in their “As Seen on TV” section.  Honestly, most Amish homemakers I know are just either going to polish their furniture by spritzing white vinegar on it or some of the less ecologically conscious ones will just whip out a can of cheap Pledge knock-off.   The manufacturer touts the product as a panacea for old, scuffed -up wood:   Introducing Amish Secret, an innovation in wood polish developed to honor the Amish heritage of fine craftsmanship.  Amish Secret is handmade right here in the USA to help bring your wood back to life! Forget oily sprays and other cleaners, Amish Secret cleans layers of built-up wax, revealing a fresh lasting shine, without leaving a sticky, oily residue. The secret is Amish Secret’s formula crafted using age-old practices. It cleans and protects in one easy step, providing a beautiful shine!

So, the product never does say what the "secret" is...but, oh well....

I have been using this on my old country wood table in my kitchen and on all my other wood furniture. I absolutely love it. It cleans, and polished to new condition. It’s great on greasy cabinets as well.
