Welcome to weekly blogroll!  Some interesting and fun posts today as we take our weekly whirl through the blogosphere in search of any and all things Plain.

AMISH SWEET PEPPERS:   The Canning Granny wraps up her wonderful Amish recipe and information series with a recipe for homemade sweet peppers.  They sound good and if you aren't into home-canning I think they could probably be prepared and eaten as is, just skip the canning part.  Click here for the recipe.

MISSOURI AMISH:  A delightful post on a Missouri website about Show-Me-State Amish settlements.  Love the descriptions and photos. Even if you aren't from Missouri, this is a great read. Curiously, Missouri, historically, has not seen a ton of Amish activity, but that appears to be changing as more and more Plain people move in to snap up cheap land.  Click here to read this great post!

INDIANA AMISH:  An RVing blog posted a travelogue of northern Indiana's Amish country. Great post! Click here - even if you don't RV - for a fun compendium of northern Indiana Amish attractions!

PLAIN MARIE: Check in this week with Plain Marie, a Plain writer in Canada who explores what it means to be Plain in a world that is increasingly anything but! Click here.

EASY HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE:  Okay, it's not an Amish recipe per se, but we are heading into apple season which means fritters and breads and sauces. Patricia at Patricia's Patchwork shares a recipe for her own homemade applesauce. Yum! Click here to see the recipe and some great photos!
