I do talk about the Hutterites on occasion on this site because they are one of the main Anabaptist groups along with the Amish, Mennonites, and German Baptists. Hutterites follow a similar theology as the Amish, but they live communally. I am following a story out of a Manitoba Hutterite colony about a deer fawn that was put down by conservation authorities. Â Wow, this just seems to be something that was very, very poorly handled. Â Click here to read.

This is such a sad story. What man doesn't understand, he destroys. Really, in a street??? The person who pulled the trigger has no feelings, no soul.

What a sad story!
I have to say that, in my opinion, the "officials" handled it very wrongly. They had to kill the deer in the street in front of anyone and everyone? What about the children who had to witness that?
Could they not have just asked the person who called them to tell them that the deer was back to try to corner the deer and hold on to it and they would send animal control to pick it up?
There are just so many things wrong with this story.
