DEVELOPING STORY: Mullet Agrees To Electricity.....

    Published: Jan 18, 2012 · Updated: Jan 18, 2012 by Kevin Williams | 2 Comments

Sam Mullet, the leader of the breakaway Bergholz, Ohio "Amish" clan who is behind bars in Youngstown for orchestrating the "beard cutting" attacks in 2011,  has apparently offered to install electricity in his home to accommodate an electronic monitoring device.  Read the latest from The Smoking Gun here.  I will try to get more information on this in the coming days using my sources in the area.  I just find it ironic that someone who allegedly orchestrated these attacks to "protect the purity of the church" is now willing to embrace something generally anathema to the Amish in the form of electricity.  The article I am linking to does have Mullet's mugshot.   I remember on the old website I posted mug shots of some Amish defendants in the Kentucky orange triangle cases.  This is a different situation, in my view.  Mullet has been photographed in pose positions by the Associated Press, so he obviously doesn't have the objection to photography that many Amish have. And given the nature of this case, I just think posting a mugshot is not insensitive.

I guess you have good Amish and bad ones , sounds like the devil got a hold of his soul, I think he needs a lot of prayer.

That was kind Sharon, all involved need prayer, I think. It is hard to conceive how one man can have so much blind hate, and influence? I feel sorry for Mr Mullett's family, did they follow him blindly? For curiosity I read some comments on one blog... most I read were so derogatory, as so often... a sad commentary from the angry who have no concept of how many good Amish and other Christian people are in our land/world, and make it a better place to live. And sad occasion for the Christian world, but God does see our pain. PTL
