Butterscotch Brownies
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 /4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 /2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 /2 cup nuts
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar and stir for 1-2 minutes, until it has a thick, peanut butter-like consistency.
  3. Let cool, then stir in beaten egg and vanilla, followed by flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Once combined, stir in nuts.
  5. Spread the batter into a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until edges begin to brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Cut into squares while warm and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  7. Place leftovers in air-tight container.
