Glazed Cinnamon Apple Bread
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups white sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- ⅔ cup milk
- 2 apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 cup butter
- 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- FROSTING:
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Grease large loaf pan.
- Stir together all of the above ingredients until smooth in consistency.
- Fold in apples.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- FROSTING:
- Mix ingredients until smooth and apply to cooled bread.
