Amish Chocolate Chip Brownies
 
 
Ingredients
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into pieces
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Great a 9 X 13 inch baking pan.
  3. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and butter in a large, heavy saucepan over low heat.
  4. Stir until smooth.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in eggs.
  7. Stir in flour, sugar, vanilla, and baking soda.
  8. Stir in remaining chocolate chips and into a prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky.
  10. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.
