Simple Coffee Ice Cream
- 7 cups milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons gelatin
- 1 /2 cup water
- 1 cup strong coffee
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups cream
- Soak gelatin in cold water while milk heats.
- Heat milk and sugar until hot but not boiling.
- Stir in gelatin.
- Add coffee and salt.
- Cool several hours then add cream and freeze.
- This is for a 6 quart freezer.
