Huckleberry Pie Filling
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 1 /2 teaspoons butter
  • ¼ cup clear jel or cornstarch
  • 2 cups huckleberries
Instructions
  1. Boil together sugar, water, salt, lemon juice, and butter.
  2. Add 1 cup berries.
  3. Bring to a boil again.
  4. Mix clear-jel with a little water.
  5. Add to liquid mixture.
  6. Cook until clear. Take off heat.
  7. Add rest of berries.
