Amish365 Plus - Wilma Hershberger's Pickled Red Beets
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups "beet water"
- 2 cups vinegar
- 1 /2 tablespoon cinnamon sticks
- 1 /2 teaspoon cloves
- ½ teaspoon allspice
- 1 /2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1 /2 level tablespoon of salt
- Cook red beets until tender in water.
- Dip in cold water and peel off skins
- In a large pot cover beets with the above mixture and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Can immediately and seal
