Amish365 Plus - Wilma Hershberger's Pickled Red Beets
 
 
Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups "beet water"
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 1 /2 tablespoon cinnamon sticks
  • 1 /2 teaspoon cloves
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • 1 /2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1 /2 level tablespoon of salt
Instructions
  1. Cook red beets until tender in water.
  2. Dip in cold water and peel off skins
  3. In a large pot cover beets with the above mixture and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Can immediately and seal
