Amish Cornbread
 
 
Ingredients

  • 8 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 9 by 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Sift together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Add the eggs, milk, and melted lard, and stir the mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan and bake until the edges are golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
