Amish "Pecan" Pie

Serves: 1 pie
  • Amish "Pecan" Pie
  • 1 sheet store-bought pie crust
  • ½ cup (one stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup light corn syrup
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Unroll the pie crust and place in a greased and floured pie pan.
  3. Flute edges.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar and eggs.
  5. Add corn syrup, and oats and combine.
  6. Pour into pie shell and bake for 1 hour until thickened inside and golden brown on top.
  7. Let cool completely on a wire rack. Serve at room temperature.
