Gloria's Moist Chocolate Cake With Double Mocha Frosting

Serves: 20 pieces
Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 3 /4 cups cocoa
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • DOUBLE MOCHA FROSTING
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 /3 cups cocoa
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 /3 cup milk
  • 1 1 /2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 ½ teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 3 1 /2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. CAKE:
  2. Mix dry ingredients.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Beat well.
  5. Pour into a greased 9 X13 cake pan.
  6. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
  7. When cooled spread frosting on top.
  8. Yield: 20 pieces
  9. FROSTING:
  10. Combine melted butter, cocoa, salt and coffee.
  11. Then add milk, vanilla and powdered sugar.
  12. Beat well.
