The Amish Cook: Refreshing Lemon Yogurt, Feeding a Crowd and Saving Scorched Soup!
Total time
- 2 quarts milk
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 1 /2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 1 /2 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons lemon jello
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Heat milk to 180.
- Remove from heat.
- Dissolve gelatin in cold water and then add to milk.
- Cook to 130 and add yogurt and sugar.
- Let set at room temperature for 8 – 10 hours.
- Refrigerate then whisk in lemon jello and lemon juice.
