Serves: 4 loaves
Ingredients
  • 4½ cups tomato juice
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 /2 cup catsup
  • 3 tablespoons yeast
  • white flour to make a soft, elastic dough
Instructions
  1. Heat tomato juice to lukewarm.
  2. Add next ingredients except flour.
  3. Let set a few minutes to dissolve yeast.
  4. Then add flour and knead to soft dough.
  5. Let rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  6. Punch down again and let rise for 20 minutes.
  7. Then put into pans and let rise till double.
  8. Bake 1 hour.
