Local Flavors: Indiana Sugar Cream Pie
- 3 /4 cup sugar
- 1 /4 cup cornstarch
- 1 /2 cup margarine
- 2 1 /4 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- cinnamon to taste (1 – 2 teaspoons, more if you like cinnamon!)
- Cook together sugar, milk, and cornstarch.
- When thickened, add margarine and vanilla.
- Pour into a baked pie shell.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Chill
