Mrs. Stutzman's Homemade Wheat Bread
 
 
Serves: 4 loaves
Ingredients
  • 4 1 /2 water
  • 1 /2 cup coarsely ground wheat flour
  • 3 /4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • Approx 12 - 13 cups of flour
Instructions
  1. Bring 3 cups water and the wheat flour to a boiling point.
  2. Cover and turn off heat and then let it set awhile.
  3. In a bowl, add 1½ cups water, oil, sugar, salt and yeast.
  4. Add enough flour to mix and knead into a moderately stiff dough.
  5. Let rise until double in size and bake at 325 until nicely browned.
