Amish Cranberry Chocolate Biscuit Muffins

Serves: 10 biscuits
Ingredients
  • 2½ cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1 /2 tablespoons baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 /2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 /2 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Grease the muffin tins.
  3. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cut in the butter and then stir in the milk.
  5. Add cranberries and chocolate chips.
  6. Work the dough until the flour is just moistened.
  7. Fill the muffin tins about 2 /3 full.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Brush the tops of the muffins with butter while still hot.
