Amish Cranberry Chocolate Biscuit Muffins
- 2½ cups flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1 /2 tablespoons baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 /2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 /2 cup dried cranberries
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease the muffin tins.
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the butter and then stir in the milk.
- Add cranberries and chocolate chips.
- Work the dough until the flour is just moistened.
- Fill the muffin tins about 2 /3 full.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the muffins with butter while still hot.
