Tomato Macaroni Skillet
- 1 /4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 /2 pound ground beef
- 1 /2 cup chopped onion
- 1 /2 cup chopped pepper
- 1 can tomatoes (20 ounces)
- 1 1 /2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 /4 teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon mustard
- 8 ounces macaroni
- Cook first four ingredients in hot oil in a heavy medium kettle until the meat is browned.
- Then add the next 5 ingredients to the meat mixture and bring to a boil.
- Add macaroni and bring to a boil.
- Turn to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
