Fluffy Gingerbread With Lemon Sauce
 
 
Ingredients
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 1 /2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 /2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 /2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 /2 cup butter
  • 1 /2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 /4 cup sorghum molasses
  • 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
  1. Sift dry ingredients together.
  2. Cream sugar and butter and add eggs and 1 /4 flour mixture.
  3. Then add molasses.
  4. Add remaining flour and beat well and stir until boiling water until blended.
  5. Pour into greased 9 X 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with lemon sauce or whipped cream
