Chrisholm Collection: Stuffed Button Mushrooms
 
 
Ingredients
  • 24 large button mushrooms
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 Tbsps. minced onion
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained, chopped fine
  • 1 cup grated swiss cheese
  • Salt/pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Scrub mushrooms well, remove the stems
  2. Saute bacon until crisp, crumble
  3. Mince mushroom stems and sauté with onions in a little bacon grease.
  4. Put all ingredients together and mix well.
  5. Stuff mushroom caps with mixture and brush with butter.
  6. Broil until lightly browned.
  7. Prep time 20 minutes.
