Amish Bacon-Stuffed Mushrooms
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ pound bacon
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound whole fresh mushrooms
  1. Fry bacon until crispy, drain off drippings, cut in small pieces, and set aside. In a small bowl beat cream cheese until smooth, sir in bacon bits, onion, and garlic powder. Remove stems from mushrooms and fill hollow center with cream cheese mixture.
  2. Place on ungreased broiler pan. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 4-6 minutes or until heated through.
