Ah, my thoughts continue to drift toward that feast of the day coming up: Thanksgiving. Â The next couple of "Friday Favorites" will feature some Thanksgiving dishes to help you plan your menu. Â Our 2-year-old daughter, Aster, is getting so excited about the upcoming holiday. Â She keeps asking me to "talk about it", to tell her about the different meals we'll have that day, who will be there, etc. Â It's really cute. Â Okay, so without further delay:

MAPLE-DIPPED DOUGHNUTS: One word describes these beauties: Â amazing. Okay, yummy, delicious and mouth-melting would also apply. Okay, mouth-melting is two words. Â Anyway, I discovered these doughnuts in a tiny Amish bakery in the Conewango Valley of New York. Â How about a recipe for some easy maple-dipped doughnuts?
