Okay, it is time for Friday favorites. But before those, I just have randomness to delve into. I saw this post about a south-of-the-border sandwich and suddenly felt culinarily (is that a word?) isolated. Amish cuisine is traditional very back-to-basics and full of freshness and goodness, but the world's kitchens are alive with spices and sauces and creative flavors. If you're lucky enough to live in a big city (which I'm not), then you have access to the amazing array of ethnic cuisines. Living in New York City, from a culinary standpoint, would be nothing short of amazingness.
RANDOMNESS - AMAZING SANDWICH: I stumbled on this blog post and it is of the most amazing sandwich I've ever seen. And there's not even bread. I always tell me 2-year-old that my 3 favorite foods are: sandwiches, pizza, and cookies. This photo elevates sandwich to something totally different. Click here to see.
