Okay, I did it this morning finally. Â After resisting all weekend I watched the "Happy Chewbacca" video.
So....Okay, I'm jaded and cynical, I will fully admit. And I am a tough, tough customer to make laugh.  Take me to a comedy club and I'll probably just sit stone-faced.  It's weird because even if I think something is funny I'll rarely break into a belly laugh.  There have been some comedians that'll do it for me.  Man, I am showing my age here, but Bob Newhart always cracked me up....Jay Leno could get me roaring, as could Dana Carvey on SNL (whew, slightly more hip)....sometimes Frankie Heck's character on The Middle can do it for me.  There's always someone on the opposite end of the spectrum.  If you go to a  movie there's always one person who will be roaring at every line (assuming it is a funny movie) and I'll sort of be sitting there quizzically.  But I do have to admit that Happy Chewbacca did get me laughing.
I mean, it'd be almost impossible to watch it without laughing. Â Although I found myself wondering about "livestreaming oneself on Facebook" which is what she was doing. Â I can't imagine many people on my personal Facebook feed being that riveted by anything I am doing enough for me to "live feed it"....I'm not even sure I'd know how to live feed and if I did I doubt I'd do it....I think it takes a certain person to be able to pull that off and the Chewbacca lady did....
So, if you need a laugh and want to not be among the ranks of people haven't watched it, you can check it out here.

I'm with you on the first count Kevin. I think of myself as being a positive and naturally a happy person but not that much into just plain silliness. I always think of the movie, Dumb and Dumber. Holy Cow! But I still just didn't get the viral draw to the Chewbacca thing. Just a little to silly for me!!

I hear ya, I mean it was funny, but it wouldn't have been something that captivated me if it I hadn't seen it in the news, etc..

I must have been somewhere else since this is the first time I ever heard of Happy Chewbacca. LOL. Think I'll pass. Who makes me laugh. Easy Red Skelton. Victor Borges. Johnny Carson. Carol Burnett. Lucy Ball. All good clean comedians. No vulgar language. No putting others down for a good laugh. Make fun of situations that are funny and people can relate to.
Kevin
I agree, Johnny Carson was especially funny, in my opinion...not as many of those types of comedians today...
