One of the things I can't wait to do once this pandemic is over and just visit some Amish settlements, take my time and explore, pop into little shops, visit Amish bakeries, all the little things I once took for granted.  So Meemaw of the Meemaw Eats blog was kind enough to share some photos of her recent drive through the Amish countryside near Kalona.
Kalona is a huge Amish settlement in the southeast part of the state. I have passed through before but never really explored Kalona, I'll have to put that on my "someday" list.
So, let's enjoy these scenes from Kalona, courtesy of MeeMaw!
Fresh in the fields....Amish in Kalona work the lush land
Good day to dry laundry, where hues of blues are seen...looks like a very typical two-story white Amish farmhouse, very typical...
Looks like a nice day for laundry
We can see who wears the pants in this family...very typical dark Amish attire in the Kalona community.

Love the pictures of Kalona and laundry day. Did they catch the two peeping Toms?

Unaware of peeping toms in Kalona? I'll check into that, sounds creepy
