    Amish365 Classic: Pizza Popover

    Published: Mar 1, 2014 · Updated: Apr 19, 2017 by Kevin Williams | 5 Comments

Not sure why this recipe is referred to as a "popover", but it was given to me by an Amish woman in Pennsylvania.  Very basic, hearty dish! Enjoy!

    1 qt. hamburger, browned

1 quart homemade or store bought pizza sauce
    diced onion
    diced green peppers (if desired)
    grated cheese
    Dough:
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 cup milk
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1-½ cups Bisquick

Mix the hamburger, pizza sauce, onion, green peppers, and grated cheese together and put into 2 quart casserole.  Mix dough ingredients and then press onto the casserole ingredients.  Then bake at 350 for about 45 minutes or until the crust is golden.

Keep those recipes coming and more times a week is great. I like it all. I guess this is called popover because it's kind of upside down pizza.

Waiting for you and Rachel to make and then show us a picture 🙂 I would love to see what it looks like....do you turn it unside down when you take it out of the oven, or just scoop it out of the dish ?????
