Amish life is captured in newspaper columns.

    By Kevin Williams

There are many Amish writers to enjoy these days and I just wanted to share a sampling:

MILLIE OTTO: Check out Millie Otto's entry this week in the Champaign Illinois newspaper....she shares a recipe that is a spring staple in Amish kitchens in the spring: Dandelion Jelly. Click here for the recipe!

SARA MILLER'S AMISH CORNER:  This is a charming slice of Amish life that appears maybe once a month in the Geauga Maple Leaf, it's a community newspaper in Middlefield, Ohio (which people always mix up with my hometown, Middletown).  Anyway, check out Sara Miller's latest here. I'm glad her writing is back, she had taken a winter hiatus. Click here to read.

    Hi There, I'm Kevin!

Welcome to Amish365, where I share my knowledge of Amish cooking and culture! I’ve spent almost three decades exploring Amish settlements and kitchens from Maine to Montana and almost everywhere in between. I’ll occasionally throw in stories of my travels, journalism adventures (I’m a Pulitzer prize-nominated journalist), fascination with grocery stores and Kmarts, and much more!
