Bellbook, Ohio is a tiny village on the outskirts of Dayton. It's viewed by people around here as a fairly affluent hamlet. It's one of those places where, in many ways, it seems time has stood still. The chain restaurants and stores have been held to the town's outskirts and there's actually a downtown with some shops and a local, independent grocery store.
I'm always looking for something to do with my girls on the weekend, especially when their mother is working, so I put together a Saturday full of activities. One of the items on my agenda was to stop at the Sugar Maple Festival in Bellbook where we could explore and maybe get in on some festival food.
As festivals go, this ones isn't bad. In fact, I'd say the food selection was definitely plentiful and above and beyond what you might typically find at a relatively small festival like this. Man, I am a sucker for festivals. Especially if they have a "kids zone" with games, bouncy house, etc...unfortunately, by the time we arrived the kids area had been packed up, but we still found plenty to do. Actually, all Aster needed to declare our visit worthwhile was some cotton candy. What a mess. Here are some scenes from the festival.

Lots of festival food
I swear it was not the "pork chop festival."
Bellbrook is a charming hamlet just southeast of Dayton, Ohio...
