We have some interesting posts trending this week on Amish365. The recipes and posts that rank highest in Google searches that lead to Amish365 have some season reflection to them, plus there is a rare non-recipe post that cracked the Top 10 this week. Typically it is all recipes. I think the cool custard and the six-day catsup are pretty good reflections of the season right now, but others are head-scratchers. Why “golden butter cake” cracked the Top 10 this week is a bit of a mystery (But it is some good cake!). So, let’s look at the top posts this week:
CAN OUTSIDERS ATTEND AN AMISH CHURCH? Fascinating topic and I address it. The short answer is “yes”, but there are a few caveats. You can read all about how and when an outsider can attend an Amish church here.
RHUBARB-CUSTARD PIE AND FOUR MORE AMISH CUSTARD RECIPES: Mmmmm, nothing like cool custard on a hot summer day. Bring it on! 5 recipes here.
MRS. STUTZMAN’S HOMEMADE BAKING MIX: Good stuff. Toss the Bisquick and use this homemade version for all sorts of recipes! Click here.
MENNONITE GOLDEN BUTTER CAKE: Sure, butter, why not? Click here.
EASIEST CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP EVER: Always a soothing recipe.
AMISH WEDDING CAKE RECIPE: Not sure why this is trending now, although September and October are popular wedding seasons, so maybe that is why. It’s not like May and June, but it is a “second peak” in weddings. Click here for the recipe.
SIX-DAY CATSUP: Man, I’d love to dunk some fries in this or slather it on a sandwich. Good stuff. Click here.
