    Skillet Casserole Revisited

    Published: Mar 13, 2012 · Updated: Feb 2, 2021 by Kevin Williams | 4 Comments

I posted a few weeks ago a recipe for a classic Amish casserole, hearty and made on the stove-top.  If you didn't catch the recipe when I posted it, here it is.   This photo from Heather Dellinger will make you all want to try it.  The casserole looks just like when the original Amish Cook, Elizabeth Coblentz, used to make it right down to the thick slice of homemade bread to go along with it.

I just might try this for dinner tomorrow. Think I would just have to get some carrots for it from the store.

That's my friend! It's because of her picture and blog entry that I want to try it! Thanks for posting the original recipe for her to find!

Correct me please if I am wrong. However, is the delicious casserole on a ---paper plate----? If so, I feel this takes away from the homey dinner she will serve her family. At the least, put the casserole on a nice dinner plate & use the paper plates for family meals, not for photographs.
