Hi everyone! Kevin’s wife Rachel, here.  Kevin is the writer in the family, but I thought I would give it a shot, it’s good to try new things, right? First of all, thanks to all the wonderful readers who visit this site and support Kevin and Lovina. There are a lot of exciting new things coming up for Kevin as he continues to do what he loves most-exploring Amish communities and learning as he meets new friends along the way. As Kevin spends time on these new pursuits and adventures, I am going to step in and occasionally be posting for him, mostly on things food-related.
I enjoy cooking and baking but I would call myself a beginner, or novice at-best. I thought it might be fun making the recipes that Lovina posts in her column each week, and photographing the progress. I won’t guarantee this will happen every week, but I’ll try to post consistently, and hopefully learn some things in the process. You can cook along with me at home if you want! I also have another fun food idea I’m working on so stay tuned for that. And come back tomorrow for my take on Lovina’s recipe of the week: Cheesy Sausage Rice Bake.

Hi Rachel. Glad you are participating here. I read and viewed your recipe and it sure looks good. Sometimes when looking at recipes, it is all about the photos that look so good and it encourages us to try that recipe. Thank you.
