Teacher Mahlon

Mahlon Miller is an organic farmer, writer and teacher in Northern Indiana. He is Old Order Amish and teaches grades 1-8 in the nearby Amish schoolhouse.     HI Kevin, Nice pics of Mahlon’s school. Hope all is well with him, his wife and their soon-to-be-born child. As for you+your wife-if no one’s told you yet-all babies have their days+nights mixed up at first. Help them settle into a routine+you both need your own rest, too. Neither of you will be good for anything or anyone if you allow yourselves to be sleep deprived. Think about it. Blessings to all! Carol

    who does ‘janitorial’ work at the school…student assignment, teacher, families? betcha it does get done thoroughly 🙂 i know who did it when i went to a two-room school for 8 years.

    I enjoyed the pictures. In the last photo I noticed that they use A Beka for math. My husband and I home school our two youngest children, and we have used A Beka materials in the past. I don’t favor their math curriculum, but their science and history are both really good. The Christian school that my kids previously attended used A Beka for some subjects.
