Okay, let's see what throwback posts we can do today.  I like throwback Thursdays and Friday favorites because it allows me to pick MY favorite posts to share...we've had so many over the years and I know not every person sees every post.

BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES:  These are truly amazing! Click here.

    Campfire cake

CAMPFIRE CAKE:  this cake, perfect for a picnic or campfire, and you don't need to roast it over the flames, it comes with it's own. Click here!

CHILLING SPRING :  I had the opportunity to visit the home of an Amish bishop in Virginia a few years ago.  It was a wonderful home perched on a mountainside.  The home was constructed on top of a cool mountain stream that ran THROUGH their home and provided chilling refrigeration.  It really was amazing an as much as i love creeks and streams having one go through my house would be incredible. Click here to see a photo.  Most Amish that don't have access to electric freezers have to use ice blocks or refrigerated containers, but this bishop had an icy stream.  Even during the summer, the water stayed cold enough to keep food cold.

GLORIA'S GARDEN ROLL-UPS:  Get these goodies straight from the garden and enjoy! Click here.

COOL SUMMER AMISH CUSTARD PIE:  Sounds so refreshing on a hot summer day! Click here.

HOMEMADE SUMMER BARBECUE SAUCE:  Nothing better during the summer than to grill out, keep the heat out doors, and then slather the meat with this homemade sauce. Click here.
