Trending Salads and Sides
Gloria's Grape Jello Salad: So delicious, a sweet, fruity concoction.
Homemade Summer Corn Relish: Wow, looking back, I gave this one rave reviews:
As for the corn relish, I just spooned some on Club crackers (really, what DOESN’T taste good on Club crackers:) and I must say this corn concoction is delicious! I think corn relish is now my favorite Amish food:) Was nice to buy and try something that wasn’t a baked good for a change! The corn relish was a neat fusion of sweet and sour, crunchy and soft. and I tasted a hint of hot. I spotted a few jalapeno pieces in there, again illustrating the inroads that Tex-Mex has made in even the most conservative Amish communities….I could dip chips in that or spoon it on crackers all day long.
Mrs. Schrock's Mock Steak: This is a classic Amish supper, you'll love it!

Amish Cinnamon Raisin Rolls: These are super good! Cinnamon rolls are a staple in Amish kitchens. And, wow, have tasted my share over the years. I'd be hard pressed to tell you which one or ones were my favorite. There's really no such thing as a "bad" cinnamon roll, just some that are better than others (some Amish bakeries that cook and bake using kerosene stoves, the kerosene can leave an aftertaste), Anyway, this is a really good one. Mennonite Fruit Dessert: This is about the best summer dessert you'll find!
Amish Vanilla Crumb Pie: This is one of my all-time favorites, if you have a summer picnic coming up...this will be the hit of it. Very versatile pie, can be the centerpiece of a Thanksgiving supper, but it's light disposition also makes it a summer natural. Click here for the recipe.
