Wilma Hershberger's Cucumber Relish: This Amish woman (Wilma) makes the best home-canned relishes and spreads in her home-based cannery. The cannery is health-department certified, but remains a very home-authentic Amish business. Click here to see her cuke relish recipe.
Cowboy Baked Beans: I have this listed as a side dish, but it could almost be a meal in itself. Click here for this super recipe!
Church Committee Chicken Stuffing Casserole: A note about this recipe and a lot of others on this site: You know, I’ve had several people email me recently about the Amish recipes seeming kind of bland. It is true that historically, Amish cooking is not been a spicy fare. That, however, doesn’t mean you can’t spice it up a bit. If I post a chicken recipe that you think could use a little bit more kick, there’s nothing stopping you from adding more pepper, seasoning salt, hot sauce, you’re not really going to harm anything by adding more spice, it’s simply a matter of preference Click here for the recipe.
Beef and Noodle Oven Garden Stew: This is an amazing and hearty recipe for a summer supper, give it a try today! Click here.

Best Zucchini Cake Ever: A note about this recipe: Seems everyone has zucchini coming out of their ears this time of year. My neighbors recently generously foisted a huge one on us the other day and it sat in our kitchen for awhile. What to do with it? This was the size of a Louisville Slugger. Well, make the best zucchini cake ever! Click here for the recipe.
Amish Date Pudding: Date pudding? On an Amish recipe website? Yep. Very popular among the Amish and I know why, I have tried this and it is so, so refreshing. A bit about the recipe: Date pudding is a summer treat in many Amish settlements. It's an enduring Amish food mystery for me because dates (middle eastern) have no real roots or cultural culinary commonality (say that fast 3 times!) with the Amish. But this dish turns up again and again at Amish events. I don't care if you like dates or not or don't know whether you like dates, you'll like this pudding. It is so cool and refreshing, I think the homemade brown sugar sauce just knocks it out of the park. Click here for the recipe.
Easy Peach Dump Cake: Quite perfect for a summer dessert! Click here for this easy, easy confection and concoction.
Juicy Peach Upside-Down Cake: This one is another sure summer winner! Click here for this amazing recipe and equally amazing photos! Click here.
