    🥗 Trending Amish Salads

Easy Summer Salad: This is an easy, delicious one! This is the time when gardens really begin to ramp up.  Across Amish country plump red tomatoes, fragrant herbs, tasty cucumbers, and succulent zucchinis are being harvested.  This is a super easy salad to make, you just need a little Mozzarella and you're good to go.  The ingredient amounts below are approximates, you can experiment and adjust according to taste.  This is a tasty salad! Click here for the recipe.

Super Seven Layer Salad: You'll love the Amish seven-layer salad recipe below. I'm not sure I've ever stood there and counted the layers and it's possible some corner-cutting cook has shorted me on a layer from time to time, but I do enjoy the salad.

There are so many versions of this popular salad. Man, looking at this photo makes me miss my grandmother...just seeing her handwriting is like seeing her. I notice her version has celery in it and specifies Colby cheese, which are both different from the Amish recipe below. So, you know, feel free to tweak. Click here for the recipe.

    🥔 Trending Amish Sides

Easy Parmesan Potatoes: The recipe calls for parmesan cheese a typically Italian condiment that has found favor among the Amish.  It’s an easy cheese to work with, especially when paired with something else easy to work with: potatoes.

Potatoes and the Amish are pretty synonymous. Potatoes grow well in almost any kind of soil and it is not uncommon for an Amish family to plant up to 200 pounds of spuds for their family. Click here for the recipe.

    🥘 Trending Amish Suppers

Amish Pot Roast Meatloaf: This is a farmhouse favorite!  The verdict is:  delicious!  This is a very easy, one-pan meal that filled the house with the most tantalizing aroma!  I used a 13x9x2 pan, but a rimmed baking sheet would work as well. If you like onion in your meat loaf, you can always add ½ cup chopped onion to the meat mixture before baking. This recipe is an instant favorite; I recommend it highly.

One-Pan Smothered Chicken: This is amazing in flavorful and fullness!

    Delicious Amish Ham Meatballs

Amish Ham Meatballs: This is a delightfully delicious and easy recipe!

    🍮 Trending Amish Desserts

Amish Peach Custard Dessert: A refreshingly delicious and fruity summer treat!

Homemade Peach Strudel: This is so good... you can use this recipe year-round using out of season peaches from elsewhere found in your grocery store's produce department. This is a wonderful recipe from the Amish Cook's archives for homemade peach strudel and one of our readers decided to try it out. Looks yum!  Below is the recipe. Click here for the recipe.

Best Zucchini Cake: Looking for a wonderful summer dessert? You want to try this!

I love photo. If you guessed it was taken in the Pearisburg, Virginia Amish settlement, you are correct....beautiful Amish community tucked away at the base of Walker Mountain. I spied this buggy there about 3 years ago.
