Places like Evansville, Indiana and western Kentucky are already under Winter Storm Watches. It appears that the Ohio Valley will experience major winter weather as we head towards the weekend. In addition to studying Amish culture, I've always been a bit of a weather buff, especially winter weather, so this is an interesting week for me. These are snowfall totals being put out by one model for this weekend. That is some serious snow! Shows a band of 12 inches or more of snow from Louisville through Cincinnati over to Pittsburgh. South of that, a band of heavy icing and in Tenneesse it is all rain.
For those of you in the Ohio Valley, this is one of my favorite weather sources: Kentucky Weather Center.
And wherever you live the always reliable Accu-Weather is on top of everything.
I'll be watching this storm develop over the days ahead and we'll see what happens. Stock up and stay safe!
