AMISH IN THE GARDEN: Last week we featured an unfinished pastel portrait of an Amish girl in a garden that a Pennsylvania artist was working on. I'm happy to report this week I can link to the finished product. Wow, gorgeous! What do you think? Click here to see.
PLAIN ON THE BEACH: This is a short entry about the Amish settlement of Pinecraft, Florida. But it isn't the text that is exciting, it's the photo. Just a great photo of what looks like some Old Order Amish visitors to Pinecraft "chillin'" on the beach. This scene is what makes Pinecraft so special. You can just go there and be who you want to be and what you want to be. The church rules are more relaxed under the West Florida sun and so are the people. Click here to see this fun photo.
AMISH CHICKEN CASSEROLE: Merissa at Little House Living (actually, it is her Mom...great mother-daughter bond...I love my Mom, but I am not sure we'd be a good blogging pair!:) shares a traditional Amish chicken casserole recipe. It's easy, it's comforting, and hearty, three common "ingredients" in Amish casseroles. Click here for the recipe.

Your picture looks like the plain family from Kansas - Rosana or whatever her name is.

I just want to thank you so much for posting my blog post here and all the kind words and comments about my artwork. I am humbled and grateful to everyone. It's nice just to know that recently, my artwork has had an impact on so many. I plan on doing more pictures of serene amish children as I go along, as well as angels. They give me the most peace and an escape from the stresses of everyday life. Again, I thank you all so much.
