Time for our weekly romp through the blogosphere in search of anything and everything Amish. So buckle up and enjoy, first stop:
AMISH SUNDAY CHICKEN AND NOODLES: This is a yummy, quintessentially Amish recipe posted by a blogger in my neck of the woods: Cincinnati. My only quibble with the post is her saying that there are lot of Amish in SW Ohio "particular around Lebanon." There is a growing Amish presence in SW Ohio but none close to Lebanon or even in the same county. The closest would be Highland County, Ohio., possibly some families now in Clinton County, but hers is an excellent post so I won't dwell on that detail. Click here for a great recipe!
AMISH LEARNING - NEAT PHOTO: Bruce Stambaugh delivers another gem here with a great documentary photo and some thought-provoking commentary. Click here.
AMISH RHUBARB CUSTARD PIE: This is a great recipe and well-timed as rhubarb season is commencing in many areas, click here for the recipe.
HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS: Wow, I bet these are good....check out this recipe from the Amish Side of Me....
Homemade sourdough egg bagels from Home Joys!
AMISH BAKED CHICKEN: Check out this gem of a recipe from Patricia's Patchwork!
HOMEMADE SOURDOUGH EGG BAGELS: Home Joys is a superb blog to check out, I'm linking to a recipe she posted this week because I think it looks amazing, but also take time to explore her other posts...the blog is written by a conservative (Plain) Mennonite woman in Pennsylvania. Click here for the recipe and her blog.
